Reviews and Ratings
Woodlands serves as a decent stopover in Lilongwe, featuring spacious, private chalets with a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the bush. While the dining options were quite limited and the breakfast could use improvement, I enjoyed a pleasant dinner with Indian dishes. However, the hotel definitely needs some updates as there were issues with cleanliness and maintenance during my stay.
Woodlands is a good choice for a stopover in Lilongwe, with spacious rooms and a nice restaurant offering a variety of delicious meals. While the peaceful ambiance was appealing, the noise from nearby parties and the road was a downside. Despite some minor service slowness, the unique atmosphere and wildlife sightings made the experience worthwhile.
I recently had a stay at this hotel surrounded by a peaceful wooded area in the heart of Lilongwe. The quiet ambiance was a great escape, and I appreciated the natural beauty nearby. The dining experience left something to be desired, with issues in menu execution. The service could be improved, especially given the awkward check-in process. Overall, it's a lovely spot for nature lovers, but there are certainly areas to refine.
I had mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. The rooms, while spacious and tucked away in a quiet area, were in dire need of modern upgrades and better cleaning. It has a nice location in a green part of the city but unfortunately the dining experience left much to be desired. The restaurant's vegetarian options were a highlight, but overall, the value for money does not match what is offered.
Woodlands was a decent stop for us in Lilongwe. The room was spacious and allowed us to enjoy some wildlife from the verandah. Dinner had great flavors, especially with the Indian dishes on offer. Sadly, the noise levels at night were a letdown, disrupting what should have been a tranquil stay. Additionally, my dinner experience was marred by a tough steak that didn't live up to expectations. Overall, a mixed experience.
